Under 11's. Division 5. Home v Chinley Juniors

Result - Reddish North End 7 Chinley 1

We got off to a great start to this game, the ball was put into the Chinley box for Josh to score our first goal, a great finish it was too.
Our second was scored by Patrick who shot from about 16 yards and thundered into the top right hand corner of the net a quality strike.

Before the game we told all the players to work hard and they will reap the benefit, this is what they did in the first half.
Other goals came from Nathan (2) with what is looking like his trademark, gets ball on half way line, runs round the defenders and scores from 12 yards! Both goals almost identical.
Josh scored 1 more in the first half to go in at halftime 5 - 0 ahead.

We made some changes in the second half which Chinley found hard to breakdown, once again the lads on the pitch worked hard, we were very lucky to score our 6th goal, the ball was knocked forward for Declan to score a well finished goal but to be fair it was offside, the ref didn't spot it and we will always play to the whistle.
Our last goal of the day was scored by Connor.

A mention must go to our defence who had little to do throughout this game but when Chinley did make inroads towards our goal Callum, Isaac, Brandon and matt cleared everything, although Chinley did score a consolation goal from a corner which Aaron had no chance.

Well it's the last report I will do for this team, I wish the team all the best as I hand over the reins to Ian.
I'm going on to coach and develop the next batch of young players coming through for Reddish North End at our soccer school.

I would also like to say a big thank you to all the parents for their help and for letting me just get on with the football, I didn't get one complaint for all the time I was manager of this team.

Finally may I also say I couldn't have met such a nice bunch of lads, who I think will improve as the season goes on as long as they listen to Ian.
Good luck..
