LATEST NEWS ON WEBSITE PHOTOS
As some of you are aware, we have been
contacted by the Tameside league regarding photos published on websites.
Due to obvious child awareness guidelines we have to be careful about photos
being published on the internet, with this in mind and after
liaising with a league representative, from now on we will be blurring out any
recognizable faces of our opponents that may appear on our match report photos.
We have requested that the league contact every other club that have a website,
simply because all other clubs have photos clearly showing opposition players.
We
have mentioned this to the league rep who informs us he has no wish to police
football club websites, but he will follow up any report he receives. Fair
enough, however we still feel concerned that other clubs may not be aware of this, so
we have stipulated to the league that this surely needs to be addressed
to every club in the Tameside league and every other league for that matter.
We have spent a considerable amount of time liaising and researching with the FA
and making sure we are operating within their guidelines, and pleased to say we
are. We have been through the website and made sure for our own piece of mind
that there are no pictures that may have been
clearly showing and making recognizable an opposition player. So, just to
clarify. Reddish North End FC have not broken any laws, this was just a
guideline that we must make sure we do not show opposition players in our match
report photos. Now, we know that it is inevitable that opposing players are
going to be in the picture when trying to capture our own players, so with this
in mind we advise that at the start of each game the managers / photographer /
match reporter, continue to approach the opposing manager for permissions and
mention you are taking a few pictures of "Reddish North End players" and assure
them that any other player or person that may appear in the picture WILL BE
BLURRED OUT and will not be clearly recognizable.
Reddish North End football club fully uphold and comply with the relevant guidelines addressed in this matter. _______________________________________________________________________________
