Match Report: Rob

We played some good football at times in this game, particularly in the second half. Chadderton are a well established team and pass the ball well,
having said that, we held our own and pushed ourselves into the game after the break.

Connor was back on the left wing today which gave us some options out wide. Nathan was out with a knock on the knee so didn't play, this left us a bit short of pace on the right wing options, suffice to say most of the wide crosses came from Connor on the left, and one or two through balls down the middle.

Our midfield did very well and there were some good battles in the middle of the park.

Almost all Chadderton's attacks were made from getting behind our defenders, the left and right backs had a hard time of it today but did extremely well to contain what seemed like constant pressure on our back four.

We were 3 - 0 down at half time.

After the break and a good kick up the backside from Ian and Alan, the lads came out and put themselves about a bit more.
Tackles were stronger and we tended not to give them too much time on the ball.

Things were looking up after we came back with 2 good goals, first Connor hit a great shot with his left foot and Kyle pounced with a great header from a corner.

What looked like a spirited comeback was marred by three defensive errors which Chadderton punished us with, scoring three times in quick succession.

Well done boys, good effort.
