Match Report: Brandon Stevenson
As an ex
player of the older team for some time I would have liked to see a win from us
which we clearly deserved.
Everyone played great but as Ian says, we were all asleep for the first 10
minutes.
The older team took this opportunity to get a Goal against us with a rebound
from their striker Jake.
We had to try and get one back but another travesty happened, they had scored
again! all our heads went down but Lewis was keeping our heads held high with
some encouraging talk.
We all kept fighting on and we had some good chances but a lot missed and our defenders did well to keep James' team out and kept them from scoring again.
We got a
corner and Alan told Joe to stop and look for a man, so Joe got in an amazing
cross and the smallest man on the pitch Connor, got it in with an amazing header
into the top corner and that was the score at the end of the match.
We did struggle a bit on the right wing because the players playing there are
not used to that position.
In the second half we dominated, chance after chance. A shot was kicked of the line and we just couldn’t get past the U13's very talented keeper Calum.
Their strikers could not get past our keeper Aaron. We really disserved to win the Game. Both teams played really well and I think I would give Man of the match to Connor, not because he scored but because he did everything suppose to do. He tracked back, he scored and he took one for the team by going in defence. We really should of won that game, both teams gave everything they had, with no excuses James!
