Result - Second Game. Reddish North End 2 Droylsden 0

Match Report: Alan Birchall

1st game

We started as if we hadn't played for ages, which was true due to the bad weather. The lads struggled to cope with the good passing game that Droylsden play. But there were times that we did play good football, some great passing from the wingers for Callum to score 2, but we did let
ourselves down by not tracking back quickly enough, leaving Droylsdens wingers to cross to their striker to score good goals.

The players that stood out today were Callum for his goals and Cameron for his good defending, it would have been a bigger score if Cameron wasn't on his game, the other players did try their best but because of the long break they weren't at there best.
I'm sure we will be better next week.

Scorers: Callum (2)

Man of the match: Cameron.

2nd game

This was a much better game against the same team as the 1st. We started with great determination passing the ball well and looking like the best team throughout this game. Sammy made some good passes and got stuck right into Droylsden making hard but fair tackles.
Again we looked a bit tired at the back but with Liam in goal, he made some great saves. Droylsden did have their chances but most of their shots were off target. Again Callum scored both goals in the 2nd half one from outside the area and one inside the area.
Overall this was us back to how we know we can play, BRILLIANT.
This was our first win against Droylsden and well deserved, even though their manager was complaining about our 2nd goal. It was scored while I was making a sub, but I did see the ball being thrown into the box and being shot into the net by Callum.
Well done lads, a great performance by all that played in this game and I'm positive that all of you will be back to your old-selves next game.
