RNE U12S YELLOWS 4    WOODLEY ALBION 0

At last we were back playing football once again!!

On a heavy bog of a pitch this match was going to be a test as these conditions do not suit the way we play football, but all credit to the lads as they tried hard throughout the game to keep up the passing game we have been working hard to perfect. We played some brilliant stuff in the first half and had Woodley chasing shadows and with some more clinical finishing we could have been more than 2-0 up at half time. The second half was a different story. With lads not showing up we had no subs and an energy sapping pitch the pace of our game slowed down, but I still never felt that we were anything but in control of this game and 2 more goals made this a comfortable 4-0 win,
but on another day/pitch this could have easily been more.

 Keep it up lads!!!

Steve

RNE Yellows 4- Reddish Villa 2

A scrappy game today, we never truly settled in to our usual passing game but still had enough to come out on top in this local derby. In the first half we some calmer finishing we could of had a couple of more goals but thanks to a good finish from Josh L within the first minute we were one up. That saw us through until half time. Early in the second half a good through ball saw Sam bearing down on goal with the ball at his feet until a clumsy challenge from behind saw us given a penalty. A calmly taken penalty by Sam saw us go 2-0 up. Due to some rotation by myself we lost our shape for 10 minutes and conceded a soft goal and a clumsy OG, saw the game level up. Seeing my mistake I got the foramtion and players back in order. Another good attacking move and clumsy challenge in the box saw Josh L convert another penalty 3-2 to us. In the dying minutes of the game we had players lying up in the box for a cross, Josh L sneaked one into the top corner making the overall score 4-2 to us. Another win to add to the sheet but I know we can play as a team 10 times better.

Steve

CAPTAIN: JK

MOTM: Callum for another good defensive display

RNE Yellows 1  v HazelGrove Utd As 6

20/11/11

My biggest concern after a winning run, was when it came to an end it would do so in a spectacular fashion!  Im glad to say that showed that our lads have a great spirit and a love of the game that cant be stopped by simply loosing a game of football! Despite the scoreline I felt that we competed well lads!

We went 0-1 down in the frist 10 mins within 2 minutes we were level after some nice build up play and a cool finish by Sam. We went in 1-3 down at HT. But we had made plenty of chances and gave Titans something to think about. The second half was all about our fitness as our legs began to tire after the effort put in, in the first half. HazelGrove stated to have a little time and space on the ball which led to 2 more goals Then with 0minutes left a collision between Ryan our goalie and a titans player saw us loose our goal keeper to possible concussion ( luckily after a quick checkover at A&E he was given theall clear!) espite this we still amanged to go close a couple of times ourselves. A great team effort which with a couple of subs could of been even better.

 CAPTAIN: Ben

GOALS : Sam

MOTM: THE WHOLE TEAM FOR THEIR FIGHTING SPIRIT

FC Bluestar 1-  RNE Yellows 10

The term a game of two halfs has never been more appropriate, the first half got under way with us conceding almost from the KO! We then spent the rest of the half making as many passes to bluestar players as our own, but some how we managed to score 3 goals( and only just miss a penalty) In the second half the RNE team we all know turned up  and we began to play passing football we've been working on all these weeks and really put Bluestar to the sword winning the second half 0-7. Lets take that second half performance into every game lads.

Credit to all the lads for having the strength of will to turn around the game after a bad start.

 CAPTAIN: Alex B

MOTM: Ben for bags of energy and a high work rate.

 GOALS: Alex B x3     Josh L x 3    Max x 2     Ben x 1     Josh P x 1

Andy tells me you dominated the first half playing Woodley off the park. Unfortunately were guilty in the second half of all pushing forward looking for goals!! You all know there is  a job to be done for the whole 60 mins, so lets play with our heads and not our hearts.

 R.N.E. Yellows  5   v   Signol  AFC   0

A very mature performance, today the lads showed real concentration and made it impossible for a big strong signol team to break them down. They showed a real understanding of the game in the way we picked them off from the counter attack. Well done lads a great win today. Keep it up!!

16/10/2011 Home v Hazel Grove.

16/10/11 Cup Game:  Home v HazelGrove Redbulls

Reddish Northend Yellows 5- HazelGrove Redbulls 1

A huge return to form this week with a superb display of passing and control, which saw us have probably 75-80% of possession, and camping in Hazelgroves half for long periods of the game.  A couple of little things to look at from this week, as Andy and I said at half time when you get on top of teams this way the dirty tricks come out and its up to you lads not to react to this as it only distracts you from the game! We also need to stop ALL bombing forward at the end of games, we know you all want to score but this leads to us conceding soft goals or in this case a silly penalty!!! But other than that a near perfect display from you lads and credit to the HazelGrove keeper who without some of his saves this game could of been a landslide!

Well done to you all lads, lets keep working hard and most importantly as a team!!!!!

 Andy and Steve

 Captain: Levi

Goals: Josh L x 2 ,Alex B, Regan and Sam

MOTM: Regan for a commanding perfomance in the centre closely followed by 13 other players.

09/10/2011 Away v Hale.

9/10/11  Away v Hale

Reddish Northend Yellows 3- 2 Hale

Well todays game was mystery, 10 minutes of brilliant football, the same brilliant football we have played so far this season, 10 minutes that saw us score 3 in unanswered goals. Followed by 50 minutes of us not passing, not losing down, not tracking back and generally just not trying! We were lucky to come away with a win today boys and we should all be disappointed with the lack of effort. We know we can do and should be doing better.

 Captain: Ryan

Goals: Alex B 2 and Levi 1

MOTM: Levi for a great goal and a cracking assist (only just shading Alex B!)

02/10/2011 Home v Inter Macc Trojans.

3/10/2011 Yellows Home v Inter Macc Trojans 1-3

An excellent game today and our toughest test so far against a good Inter Macc side. With a couple of lads missing we owe a big thanks to Regan and Alex B for steepping up from the under 11s to help us out today. They settled in well with 2 brilliant performances although the whole team performed brilliantly today. Defencivly we were solid and on more than one occassion played our way out of trouable. The midfield worked their socks off for the whole 60 minutes and werent scared to get the ball down and play it. The strikers never stopped running and made sure Inters back 4 had their hands full for the whole match. Our first goal came from some lovely football starting with a cross field pass from Lewis into the path of Josh P who beat the fullback to deliver an excellent cross into the box for Sam to slot home. Half time 1-0 to us. Second half a hard fought finish from Josh L and a cracking lob from outside the box from Regan saw us going 3-0 up . With minutes to go we seemed to be cruising but Inter snatched a goal which gave us something to think about. But with little time remaining we saw the game out. A good hard fought victory, WELL DONE LADS!

Steve

goals: Sam, Josh L and Regan.

Captain: Josh P

MOM: Ryan for a calm head, some excellent stops and good work as a sweeper when needed.

18/09/2011 Home v Hayfield United.

 18/9/11

 under 12s Yellows    5  v     0  Hayfield United

            Managers:- Steve and Andy

Our first home game of the season and what a big ask from the lads today!  With only 11 fit players and an injured Ben on the bench everyone had to give 100% for the full game. We got off to a great start going 1 up within 10 minutes and making plenty of chances. Then disaster struck!!! With Sol pulling up with a hamstring problem and not wanting to risk Ben we played on with 10 men. Hayfield saw their chance to pile on the pressure and threw players forward. Our defence stood strong and a man down we managed to go 2-0 up at half time. After a quick team talk and some oranges ( cheers Joanne!) we came back out still only with 10 men but showing plenty of composure on the ball, so much so you could hardly tell we were a player short. 10 minutes into the 2nd half and Sol made a come back and with 11 on the pitch we went on to score three more.

We ran out 5-0 winners a result that owed a lot to the heart and determination of all the lads in difficult circumstances.  An amazing effort. Andy and I are very proud of you all boys.

Goals scored by:

Josh P    2

Josh L    1

Hazel Grove United Redbulls     4 v 9    under 12s Yellows

                  Managers:-  Steve and Andy

Today we travelled away for the opening game of the season for the newly formed Yellow team. What a start to the season it was!! After dominating the first 20 minutes we were 0-2 up but a 10 minute wobble saw us come in at half time 3-2 down. A determined and free flowing team took to the field for the second half and 3 quick goals saw us re-take the lead. A penalty for Hazel Grove saw them pull one back but we were not to be stopped today. Even with 2 goals disallowed we ran out 4-9 winners! Well done lads a superb team effort, Andy and I couldn't have asked for more!!
