Last game of the season, with a local derby against Phoenix, played on our old home pitch.
From the start Phoenix were quick off the mark, being much the better team for the 1st 15 mins, putting the defence under a lot of pressure, but without having any clear chances on goal.
After weathering the early storm RNE started to find there passes and managed to put some pressure on the Phoenix defence. The 1st goal came from the 1st real chance on goal RNE created, a shot from the right from Jack W that found Stephen T in the 6 yard box to slot past the keeper, 0-1.
The goal seemed to help settle RNE, who created a couple of further chances, but were unable to add to the score.
Half time 0-1
For the second half RNE had the advantage of the wind, and from the re-start put Phoenix under a lot of pressure, the second goal came from Colin after some good work in the 18 yard box, 0-2.
Not long after Phoenix had there best chance of the game, after a goal-mouth scramble, the ball was put wide from 2 yards out.
Soon after RNE added to the score with a well taken goal from Josh, 0-3
Josh added to his days total with another goal, 0-4.
Jack B got onto the score sheet after another long goal kick from Joe caught out Phoenix defence, 0-5.
Just before the final whistle Jack W added a sixth goal.
Final Score 0-6.
Another good result from what has been an excellent season.

Reddish North End vs Great Moor 1st April 2012
This week playing against Great Moor, who gave us a good game in our previous meeting.
From the kick off RNE started strongly even though we were missing a couple of players, creating a couple of half chances. From one such chance RNE got the 1st goal, scored by Josh after a melee in the Great Moor 6 yard box, 1-0.
Great Moor pressed forward, but between Dylan and Chris O in the heart of the defence and Joe in net kept them at bay. Jack B had a great chance to add to the score after a great through ball the goalkeeper made a good save. Jack soon made it 2-0 after a long kick from Joe, the defence failed to clear the ball and Jack ran through, 2-0
Great Moor continued to press and finally got the breakthrough after a fine was headed in, 2-1.
Half Time 2-1
For the second half, John replaced Jack W with Colin, who made an early impact with a well taken free kick to make the score 3-1.
At this point RNE were well in control but were unable to add to the score line, and Great Moor were not able to make any great in-roads into our 18 yard box, but after a mix up in the defence, Great moor got a goal back to make it 3-2. Great Moor were now playing better, but RNE as a team held it together and soon after took the advantage again after a good run down the wing from Stephen T, his cross was put away by Josh, 4-2. Colin soon after added his second goal of the game, again from a well taken free kick, 5-2.
From the re-start RNE were caught napping and Great Moor added a third to make the score 5-3.
RNE were then able to control the game until the final whistle

Marple were still a danger, as proved in our previous meeting, the RNE defence were able to handle most of Marple attacks, but eventually they found the back of the net 3-2.

Reddish North End vs Reddish Phoenix 19th Feb 2012
Back in action again after another break due to the weather, this time against local rivals Reddish Phoenix, the 1st time we have played each other in the league this season.
Both teams didnt have full squads available, but from the kick off both teams played some good football, creating some good half chances at both ends. The 1st breakthrough went to RNE, Jack Booth taking his chance well, 1-0.
After the 1st goal went in RNE seemed to be creating chances every time they went forward, but were unable to add to the scoreline, with Phoenix dangerous when they came forward, but eventually RNE got there second through Jack B again, after a great through ball from Steven T 2-0.
Phoenix were starting to get more in the game and creating some good chances, Joe having to make a couple of good saves to keep the score at 2-0
but eventually Phoenix finally got their goal, with a close range shot that Joe had no chance with, 2-1. For the final 10 mins of the half Phoenix really put the pressure on, but the RNE defence kept battling with some good defending to end the half @ 2-1.
Half Time 2-1
For the second half John brought Emy on for Dylan, and for the 1st 10 mins the match was fairly even, both teams looking to add to the scoreline, but it was RNE through Jack B again who got the breakthrough, again latching onto a through ball, 3-1.
The third goal seemed to settle RNE, and they began to have more of the game, although Phoenix were still quick on the break. John brought Dylan back on for Colin, and soon after Steven got his reward after some good work to make the score 4-1. Soon after Jack B added another one to his tally 5-1, then Emy scored his second in as many games, with a run that started well inside his own half, going past 4/5 players to finally put the rebound from the keepers save to make the score 6-1.

Reddish North End vs Woodley Albion 22nd Jan 2012
1st game of 2012, RNE only had 11 players available, on a heavy pitch and a very windy day.
In a much changed team, RNE kicked off with the wind behind them and pushed forward early on creating a couple of half chances. The 1st goal came from Josh with a well taken goal 1-0. The next goal was scored by Emy, after running through the defence the ball trickled past the keeper, 2-0. Woodley kept plugging away but found it hard work playing against the wind. RNE made good use of the wind and finally added to the score with a well worked goal, started on the left and finished by Josh, 3-0.
Woodley replied quickly, with the defence caught square, the striker ran on, round the keeper to score, 3-1.
RNE replied again fairly quickly, and once again Josh was the scorer, 4-1
Woodley were still able to trouble the defence a couple of times with some good through balls.
Half time 4-1
For the second half John switched Dylan into centre of defence, and this time Woodley were playing with the wind behind them.
From the restart RNE seemed to cope better with the wind and restricted Woodley to very few chances whilst at the same time putting pressure on Woodley. RNE reward finally came with a well taken goal from Colin 5-1.
Woodley had a spell of good pressure with the RNE defence clearing the lines, but after one such attack Woodley were awarded a penalty, which was put just wide of Joe, 5-2.

Match Report Under 13s

Following last weeks not so brilliant match, RNE were looking to make a much improved performance this week.
RNE elected to play uphill from the kick off, and from the start Cheadle made good use of playing downhill, attacking the goal straight away. RNE were under a lot of pressure and were unable to get the ball out of there half. The first goal came early on. A shot from outside the box, Joe went down top save, but the ball hit a mound of earth and bobbled over the keeper, very unlucky but still 1-0 to Cheadle. RNE were still under constant pressure and the second goal soon followed 2-0.
The second goal seemed to wake RNE up, and they eventually started to compete for the ball and put in some good tackles, as well getting the ball into Cheadles half to create some good half chances.
They got to half time with the score at 2-0.
Half Time 2-0
With RNE now playing downhill, it was there turn to put Cheadle under pressure, and they created some good early chances for Jack B. RNE finally got there goal, with Jack B again slotting the ball home, 2-1.
RNE were now having the better of the game, with Cheadle being limited to the odd break through the middle which the defence coped well with. The equaliser came through Stephen T, a free kick that was won after some good work by Dylan, the ball came out to Stephen, who hit a great strike from out of the box 2-2.
Soon after RNE were awarded a penalty, which Josh took, the keeper made the initial save, but Josh followed up and put the rebound in the back of the net, 2-3. RNE were awarded another penalty, but this time the keeper saved well from Josh. Cheadle kept pushing for the equaliser, and they were also awarded a penalty, which Joe saved well to put the ball over the top.
RNE finally put the game out of reach with a well taken goal by Jack B, 2-4

In the second half again RNE were on the back foot, with Marple pressing forward time and time again, scoring there second goal from out side the box.

1st away game of the season, with the team hoping to build on last weeks win. This week there were a couple of the squad missing, which meant that John had to re-shuffled the team around a bit, as well as having a couple of new players available as well.
From the kick off RNE started well and put Signol under pressure early on with Stephen, one of the new players having an early shot on goal. Signol also created a couple of chances as well, but some good defending kept the score 0-0.
RNE kept playing the ball around, again creating a couple of good chances for Stephen and Dylan. RNE finally got the breakthrough after a good through ball from Dylan to Josh, who ran through on goal 0-1.
RNE kept up the good football creating a couple of good chances without being able to extend the lead. Signol were always dangerous on the break and they finally got there reward with the RNE defence caught square, 1-1.
RNE replied straight from the re-start, the ball falling to Dylan on the wing whose shot was fumbled by the keeper into the net, 1-2.
RNE extended there lead a little time later with a long goal kick from Joe, the ball was knocked on for Josh, who ran clear on goal, 1-3. This was soon 1-4 after a free kick just outside the box, taken by Zac and deflected into the net.
Half Time 1-4
At half time John made a couple of changes, with Ethan going in Goal for Joe, with Joe replacing Colin up front.
At the re-start RNE got the ball forward to Dylan, whose shot was parried into the net, 1-5.
Signol did not give up and they created a couple of half chances, one well saved by Ethan, but they kept pushing forward in a spell of about 10 mins where they were pushing RNE back into there own half and they got there reply with an own goal, 2-5.
RNE managed to get ball out of there half with a long through ball to Joe who put the ball in the back of the net, 2-6. They made it 2-7 when Jack was put through and the ball rebounded of the keeper, which left Jack with an open net.
Signol still did not give up and managed to pull another one back 3-7
Final Score 3-7 to RNE.
A good game overall, considering the changes made to the team, Well Done!!!

11/09/2011 Home v Signol Athletic.
Reddish North End vs Signol Athletic Blue 11th Sept 2011
Here we go again, start of a new season with hopes of building on last years performances, and maybe going one better in the league.
Our 1st st game was against Signol Athletic Blue, on our new home pitch in rather blustery conditions.
From the kick off both teams pressed forward playing some good football, passing the ball around well considering the conditions. RNE had the better of the chances without really causing the Signol keeper any real problems.
The 1st goal came from some slack marking in the RNE defence, from a throw in for RNE the ball was cleared by Signol, whose centre forward ran through on goal and fired the ball into the back of the net. 0-1
In reply RNE kept pushing forward, but again without really creating a clear chance on goal. The breakthrough came when Josh was put through on the left wing, he ran clear on the defender, only to be brought down in the penalty area, the ref awarded the penalty. Josh stepped up and put the ball into the back of the net, 1-1.
Half time 1-1
The second half continued as the 1st half finished, but as time went on RNE started to dominate, and created some good half decent chances, with both Josh and Jack causing problems for there defenders. The second goal came from a free kick, well taken by Zac. The ball sent over into the middle of the box, and the ball went in off a Signol player, 2-1.
For the final 15 mins Signol pushed forward looking for the equaliser, but with some good defending from Chris Orrell and Emmy, and a couple of good saves from Joe, the match ended in a 2-1 win for RNE.
It was a good all-round performance, especially from Chris Orrel and Emmy in defence, Khaleel and Kane in the middle and Jack up front.
Well done, good start to the season
