U-7 yellows 24.03.12 Respect League

Wow what a fantastic two games we had today, the first game we won with goals from Adam, Bennet and Callum, Michael was unlucky when his shot at goal ran along the goaline,  a superb game with plenty of accurate passing and defending, the second game started a bit slow and we were two goals down at half time, after a pep talk they went out a different team and with goals from Adam and Callum some geat goalkeeping and defending we turned the score round and won a team that usually beats us, well done lads , two great games,

Man of the Match, there were two, went to Bennett who had a great game and Aiden for his great defending.

still on a high,

Rob

We won the first match, with some very good passing and corner taking, they are also starting to call for the ball, Callum and Adam who did the scoring and Ronan were playing well up front, and coming back to help, Michael, Aiden were swapping around midfield and fullback looking after Charlie in the goal, who also had a good game.

The second game we were winning with some good football, then there was some lack of concentration, missed passes and grouping, despite continually tryng we were just beaten, was still a good game, well done lads we are getting there, Man of Match was not easy but it went to Callum with some brill passing and finishing, but i found a spare trophy in my bag so it went to Ronan for his tackling and passing, if i had more trophies they would have all had one.

U-7 matches 4.2.12

It was so cold someone said it was -4c on the pitch but all the teams struggled on, we won the first game but not the best football, not a lot of passing or communication at first, but improved as the game went on, we lost the second game, but we had warmed up now, and the play was a lot better the passing and defending was, more precise despite just losing the match, well played lads, especially in the cold.

Man of the Match, Ronan.

On Saturday, what can i say, it was the best football by the lads, we lost the first game 1-0 but they usually beat us by a larger margin, the goal was a bit of a mess in the goal area, but they played great football, passing, calling for the ball, the second game was even better we won 4-1, with 2  goals from Callum Joyce, 1 from Aiden and 1 from Ronan, well done lads , maybe we should play on a Friday night again? man of the match, Aiden who never stopped running.

U-7s Yellows  27.01.12

The weekend started on friday night, 27.01.12, with 2 wet and cold friendly games at Failsworth against Manchester City young academy players, it was a good learning curve for us, both the blues and the yellows aquitted themselves very well against teams coached by professionals. they all enjoyed the experience, poor Ronan lost a tooth on the pitch, never to be seen again, well done lads, thanks to Pughy for sorting it out.

U-7 Yellows matches 21.1.12

Saturday was the first games of hopefully many at the new venue at Burnage Rugby Club on G3 pitches, it was very windy and cold and we lost the fist game, I still think they were a bit rusty, second half they started to get it together,  we won the second game, the lads worked well together with some great passing from everyone, a superb match which saw Callum score a hat-trick, well done to all of you.

Man of the Match was Michael.

   Well done     Rob

U-7 Yellows  07.1.12

the U-7 Yellows team were a bit rusty because of lack of games but they still played well, drawing the first game where they played well together all round, the second team we lost, but with some

good passing and placing of the ball, the opposing team didn't beat us by as many as last time.  Ronans goal was to me the best in the league this year, one his own passing from his right foot to

his left and into back of net.  Man of The Match Adam, well done all players.

U-7's Yellows,  Respect League  3.12.11

We lost both games, the lads played well though, both teams have beaten us before but the goal difference was better this time, the second game they didn't play as well and could have been better but i think the rain, cold and the wind was taking its toll, the orgnisers cut the last game short because of the weather, there were youngsters shivering everywhere, well done lads, man of the match was Bennett.

U-7 yellows Sat Nov 26 Respec League

Two more great matches, the first one we won with goals from Callum 4, Adam 2, and Ronan 1. all the lads played well together, in attack and defence. A thank you to Michael who helped the opposing team out by playing for them when only four of their team turned up. all our subs offered to help.  The second game was a draw with Callum and Adam scoring, a really exciting game in which we could have possibly scored more goals if the forwards passed a bit more often, but well done both games lads keep it up.

U-7 yellows

What games, the first game we won with goals from Callum, Ronan and Malachi, the team played really well together, passing defending, oh and scoring, they seemed to gel together better than in previous games. the second game we lost but still played well, Adam scored a cosolation goal and Charlie saved a superb penalty shot, the goals just would not happen despite lots of trying, I think they opposing team had clingfilm over their goalmouth, man of the match went to Callum, it was a difficult decision as all the team played fantastic, well done lads keep it up, there were more "High Fives" in one day than the rest of the season, so proud

Reddish North End U7's Yellow

U-7 Yellows : drew one and lost one, they played a great first match which we drew, with lots of possession and passing in defence as well as up forward with some cracking goals, the second game was not as good with concentration slipping slightly but still a good game, with some cracking saves from Charlie in goal. I think he still has the impression of the ball on his jersey from one of the saves. man of the match was difficult so I chose two, Charlie in nets and Malachi who played magic in midfield and forward. well done lads, and well played, we are getting better.  good games.

I would also like to thank Zeki from the blue team who stayed to watch and ended up helping out in goals a team that only had four players, the teams manager was very grateful, so were the organisers, its all about the sport.

Reddish North End U7's Yellow

Didsbury Respect League

The yellow team played well today despite losing both games,in the first match, the boys were unlucky not to score. The second game was the local derby match against the blue team, both teams were depleted in numbers with at least one of the boys being unwell overnight. The yellow team are begining to gel well together and certainly did their upmost to keep the scores down today, well done to goalkeeper Charlie who tried really hard, man of the match went to Adam well done. Get well soon Ronan.

Robert
