Team coach (Alan) views on the game:
1st Game:
This was a great game of football. Even though we lost 2-1, it was a big
improvement against a very good Hale Utd side who have beaten us 7-0 on the
first game of the season! We had a few chances to score and we defended well. It
was good to see Nathan H back (missing 3 games due to holiday) and playing what
I think was his best game, he got stuck in and battled on the right wing, passed
the ball well and a whisker from a goal when the ball rolled along the goal line
from a cross, another half a yard and he would have been on the end of it. Our
defence looked solid and the midfield played their part. Nathan W scored our
goal, a cracker, getting the ball on the left hand side taking on their
defenders and going through them to put the ball in - low on the left post,
their goalkeeper had no chance. We did ride our luck at times but Lewis W
cleared the ball off the line twice to earn Man of the match. At 2-1 down
Brandon had a great chance to equalise when he received the ball up front, only
to hit it wide, when asked what he would do if he got a chance like that
again, he said - "control the ball first", that shows me the team are
learning from every game. well done lads.

2nd game:
We started this game on
the back foot, Hale Utd got 3 quick goals to go in at halftime 3-0 up.
We had a team talk and in the second half we played much better, Matthew played
really well to earn Man of the match but had to come off injured.
We had very few chances in this game to score but the team are improving all the
time, we passed the ball well at times but to be fair, Hale Utd were a bit too
strong for us this time. The game finished 3-0 to Hale Utd but we did keep a
clean sheet in the second half. Well done to Isaac, Matt, Brandon and goalkeeper
Aaron.
