Result - 1 Game - 11 a-side. Reddish North End 0 Stockport Vikings 5

Team coach (Alan) views on the game:

We started this game well, some players had plenty of opportunities to pass but just held onto the ball a fraction too long, we must learn to pass at the right time and when to keep hold of the ball at the right time.
They get caught with the ball too often, we didn't have many chances in the Vikings penalty area but our defence playing their first 11 a-side game kept the Vikings out.
The Vikings had a lot more possession than we did and they passed the ball a lot more than we did, they took the lead just before half-time with a scrappy effort that looped over Aaron.
Half time we are 1 - 0 down

The second half:
I was happy with the score and to be honest I thought we would play a lot better in the this half of the game. We had a couple of corners and put a lot of pressure on the Vikings but with no success.
Nathan W had a lot of possession running at their defence but he got tackled and lost possession a lot.

We welcomed back Brandon from his broken Arm, I also gave him the Man of the match because I asked him to play in 3 different positions, Midfield, Striker and Defence. He put plenty of effort into the game with his runs at the Vikings defence but without success.

I know I am repeating myself when I say this, but we have only been together for 9 months, we will get better with the more games we play. We have had a couple new players coming in and still finding their feet.
This was the teams first 11 a-side game on the biggest pitch in the metro league.

I would like to give all the players a reminder - and that is "please pass the ball to the nearest player to them"
if they do this they will improve as a team, we might even win a game!
