Match Report: Under grey skies and on a heavy pitch, RNE return to league action away to Apollo. RNE raring to go after a two week break due to the recent cold snap. RNE dominate from kick off with the mid-field, marshalled by Mike and John strong in the tackle. Early pressure is rewarded with Brandon opening the scoring. 1-0 RNE. Apollo looks to counter with play down the left. A quick through ball sees a shot go narrowly wide.  

RNE take control with Brandon, Gricy and Haden all going close. With a through ball from Mike, Haden bursts through to make it 2-0 RNE. Good football see RNE spread the ball wide.
Jack cuts in from the right to make it 3 - 0. Long balls from Apollo are well contained at the back. Woody and Matthew capturing all, with few balls making it through to Dom. The first half is sealed with a thunderbolt from Haden. 4 - 0 RNE.

With changes made at half time, RNE look to capitalise on the strong first half performance. The shape in the middle is lost somewhat with all looking to score. Apollo look more solid in the middle and the first 15 mins are an even contest.  

RNE composure returns with good wide play from Samuel and Jack. Both having shots go close. RNE are awarded a free kick from a central position. With a deft touch, Sheff is rewarded with a goal: the ball beating the goal keeper in the top left corner. 5-0  RNE. With 10 minutes remaining RNE continue the dominant play. Haden, Sheff and Jack all breaking through see chances go close or saved. Jack, again cutting in from the right bets the Apollo defence. A driven shot makes it 6-0. Sheff then makes it 7-0 with similar play. A good driving run is rewarded with a goal. A good result in a game that RNE dominated throughout.
