No place in junior football for challenges like that. More pressure from RNE sees several corners won. The ball comes to the edge of the area….goal. Amari sweetly struck shot makes it 2 – 0 RNE. Changes at half time see Gricy, Jack and Josh into the action. More pressure by RNE is rewarded by a goal. A corner sees Gricy, the smallest player on the pitch find space to head home. 3 – 0 RNE. Head tennis in midfield from Mike and Sheff, a laugh from the watching parents. More pressure sees Sheff make if 4 – 0 RNE. A low struck shot to the left of the keeper. Apollo finds a way through the resilient RNE defence. 4 – 1 RNE. A few knocks see further changes made with Mike S coming on to support the defence. A good battle and a strong win for RNE. Special mention goes to Tom. Back from injury, Tom completes his first full game of the season.
