Away v Great Moor County

Result - Reddish North End 5 Great Moor County 1

Team coach (John) views on the game:

This was a great result against a good team and if I do say so myself I think we deserved it. The whole team played very well, we won our tackles, we passed the ball well and scored some great goals. This was a tricky fixture as Great Moor play good football and are doing well in the league so we had to be at our best and we didn't let ourselves down, in fact we were very good.

The goals came from a number of different players, which was very pleasing, we scored early in the first half and then again shortly after which gave us the start we needed. Great Moor scored from a poor back pass from our defender, it didn't have enough pace on the ball and their striker thought it was his lucky day, but these things happen and we just got on with it. In the second half we were dominant and scored another three but it could and should have been more, we missed a lot of chances but I said to the team we will have days like these and to get on with it. There was one downside to the game was the injury to Alan our striker, he got tackled and twisted his knee. I want to say it was nothing to do with their player it was a complete accident and unintentional, their player was completely blameless.

Alan had to go to hospital and was told he had hurt his ligaments in his knee, we all wish him a speedy recovery and hope to see him back soon. Alan was actually man of the match but it a very close as Jordan our left back also had a fantastic game, well done lads!! In fact all the team deserve praise for the way they played it was good to watch.
