Team coach (John) views on the game:

Today was a lot better day for the team as we played really well but lost, a funny statement I know but I was really pleased with the teams attitude and determination.
We started the game well and gave as good as we got and kept it at 0 - 0 to half time, with chances for both teams to take the lead.

The second half was a different matter we went to sleep from a throw in and they scored 1 - 0 and I hope they learn they cant switch off in games, as the half went on we started to attack a bit more and had a few corners but unfortunately it wasn't to be.
Towards the closing stages of the game came their winner and if I do say so myself what a winner, their player shot from outside the box and like a bullet went in to the top corner, not even Joe Hart would have saved it!!
well done to their player he struck it sweet. I spoke to Joe our keeper and told him not to worry as all keepers have those kind of goals scored against them and it probably wont be the last. The players really tried and there were good performances from each and every one of them, I said to them if can play like that in every game we will win more than we will lose and improve tremendously. Well done RNE.

The friendly went even better as I thought we were just about the better team and we scored two really good goals. Again it was a good team performance, which is what I am after, and the players enjoyed themselves which again gives them confidence.
Overall I thought that each player from back to front gave everything they could in the game and I also thought that we matched a really good team and that bodes well for the future.
