Team coach (John) views on the game:
We lost again today against a team that have been
going for two years and I felt we gave them a good game. Their first goal was a
mistake by our goalkeeper but we don't blame him as he's good goalkeeper and
everyone makes mistakes. We battled hard in the second half, even though we let
in two goals, we were just as good as they were, we pushed forward to get the
goals back and by doing so left us short at the back.
We lost but we will get there.
The second game was even better, the players gave their all and if I'm honest it
was me who caused this loss.
I changed too many players towards the end of the game which led us to lose the
game. The game was on course to finish as a draw at least but I will learn, all
managers do!! The players were fantastic and at times they played some great
football it was good to watch. The players from both our games have come along
way in a short time and I really feel, not for a while yet, that we have the
makings of a good team. We are giving established teams a run for their money,
but as I have said, results don't matter this year as long as the players have
fun, be confident and learn, then we will be a good side in the future.
